First, cooking at home is usually cheaper than eating out. Second, you can control the ingredients and the amount of fat, salt, and sugar in your food. Third, cooking at home gives you a chance to bond with your family and friends. and finally, home-cooked meals just taste better.

Today, I will be teaching you on how to cook two different dishes.

The first is Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells 

The second is Chicken Fried Rice

Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells.

This is a delicious Italian dish to serve your guests. This dish is not only delicious, but it is also packed with nutrients. Spinach is a great source of vitamin K, vitamin A, magnesium, and folate. Ricotta cheese is a good source of calcium, vitamin B12, and protein. This dish is also low in calories and fat.

Below are the list of ingredients I use to make Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed shells.

1 jar of marinara sauce

1 bag of frozen spinach

1 tub of ricotta cheese

1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

1/2 teaspoon of dried basil

1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

25 jumbo pasta shells

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook pasta shells according to package instructions.

In a large bowl, mix together marinara sauce, spinach, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, basil, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Stuff each pasta shell with a spoonful of the ricotta cheese mixture.

Place shells in a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until sauce is bubbly.

Serve warm.

For the second dish which is, Chicken Fried Rice 

CHICKEN FRIED RICE 

Chicken Fried Rice is a popular dish made with cooked rice, chicken, and vegetables. The dish is usually served with a soy sauce or a brown sauce.

Chicken Fried Rice is a quick and easy meal that the whole family will enjoy. It’s perfect for a busy weeknight dinner, and it’s also great for serving as a side dish at a party or potluck.

These are the ingredients you need to make Chicken Fried Rice 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup uncooked white rice

1/2 small onion, diced

1/4 small green bell pepper, diced

1 small carrot, peeled and grated

1/4 cup frozen peas

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 cup cooked, diced chicken

1/4 cup chopped green onions

Method

Cook rice according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper, carrot, and peas. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.

Add salt, black pepper, broth, soy sauce, sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.

Add cooked rice and chicken. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.

Serve fried rice topped with green onions.
