The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun, has debunked the rumour making the rounds that he has resigned.
He says the purported letter of resignation which is in circulation, is the handiwork of the fifth Columnists who are bent on throwing Ondo State into anarchy, particularly the House of Assembly.
The Resignation letter in circulation read, “Please permit me to inform you that I, Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun, Bamidele David, ceases to function as Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly. This follows my decision to resign from the position with effect from today (Thursday)”.
The speaker urged the security agencies to investigate the purveyors of the letter. There were heavy presence of policemen and personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) around the assembly’s complex located on Igbatoro road.
