Olu Jacobs not dead – family dispels death rumour

Nollywood veteran, Olu Jacobs, is alive, his family said Sunday, amid raging social media death rumours and speculations.

Speaking with newsmen on Sunday evening, his wife, Joke Silva, debunked the rumour, saying “her husband is alive and doing just fine.”

Also, the first son of the acting legend, Soji, said his octogenarian father is not dead.

Soji shared a video where the veteran actor was seen calmly seated while he had his beard shaved.

The rumours of Olu Jacobs’ death had earlier spread online without official confirmation.

This is not the first time such news about the veteran actor will trend online. In June 2020 and 2022, there was also a rumour concerning the actor’s death.
