A video showing Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, better known as Oladips who was reported to have died on November 14, has surfaced showing him vibing to his latest song.
After news of Oladips’ death threw the entertainment industry into mourning, reports later emerged that the young rapper faked his own death to generate publicity for his latest album.
On Wednesday, the obituary announcing his death was deleted on his official Instagram page. The Instagram post read: “We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!”
The deleted obituary was replaced with a video of the artist vibing to his latest song.
Nigerians have expressed shock why the artist would fake his death to gain publicity.
