Ogun State commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Adijat Adeleye, has organised a prayer session for Governor Dapo Abiodun and his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
While speaking at the programme in Abeokuta, with the theme, “Akanse Adura, Ogun Women Prays For Omooba Dapo Abiodun and Engr. Noimot Salako- Oyedele”, she emphasised the role of women in nation building
The event, led by Commissioner Adijat Adeleye, aimed to unite women in prayer for peace, good governance, and the advancement of the state under Governor Abiodun’s administration.
The ministry’s initiative, spearheaded by Adeleye and supported by press officers – Folake Ogunboyejo and Tayo Olusanya, emphasized the pivotal role of women in fostering national development.
Permanent Secretary Mr. Oluwaseyi Sokoya highlighted the significance of entrusting the state and its leadership to God.
Representatives from various organizations, including the Spouses of State Government Functionaries Association and the All Progressives Congress State Women Leader, commended the ministry’s efforts in rallying women for collective prayer.
Christian, Muslim, and traditional faith representatives, Rev. (Mrs.) Fola Achidume, Chief Imam Yunis Odekunle, and Iyalosa Efunyebo Omolara, respectively, led the gathering in prayers for continued progress and prosperity under the current administration.
