Northern Muslims on X have expressed excitement over news that a policeman has converted to Islam.
According to multiple posts by social media influencers from the North, the policeman formerly known as Daniel Amah, but now Muhammadu Sanusi, became a Muslim under the tutelage of Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
A post on X celebrating the conversion by former social media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad reads: “I was filled with joy when I read the story of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Daniel Amah, embracing Islam yesterday at the Kano Emir’s Palace. ACP Daniel Amah, who I have maintained a very good relationship with since I first met him in 2018, is one of the most exemplary and upright police officers in this country. In 2022, Daniel received the IGP Award for his integrity after rejecting a $200,000 bribe from armed robbers. May Allah ease his journey, grant him wisdom, and bless him with a deeper understanding of the faith. Ameen!”
Another post on X by @MFaarees_ read: “Alhamdulillah! Another beautiful soul has embraced Islam. Y’all remember ACP Daniel Amah? The police officer honored and promoted by President Buhari for rejecting a $200,000 bribe has accepted Islam and chosen the name Muhammad. May Allah bless and guide you, sir. Welcome to the religion of peace and truth. We love you.”
Also, @AM_Saleeeem said: “GOOD NEWS; Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Daniel Amah, renowned for his integrity in the Nigerian Police Force, embraced Islam yesterday, at the Kano Emir’s Palace.
