The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has designated Mr. Olufemi Oladapo Soneye as its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, according to an announcement made on Wednesday.
In a press release, the oil conglomerate characterized Soneye as an accomplished journalist with an extensive background encompassing both full-time and freelance roles at distinguished publications in Nigeria, Australia, and the United States of America.
The statement detailed that Soneye will be at the helm of the Corporate Communications team, taking charge of advancing brand recognition, executing strategic communication initiatives, and managing relationships with stakeholders.
It was also noted that Soneye is affiliated with respected professional organizations, including the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Guild of Corporate Online Media Publishers.
Furthermore, the statement highlighted Soneye’s past role as the President of the Nigerian Media Practitioners in Washington, D.C., expressing eagerness about the valuable contributions he will make to the Company.
