Due to President Bola Tinubu’s declaration that “fuel subsidy is gone” in his inaugural speech, there are currently fuel shortages across the nation.
Following an urgent National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), in Abuja on Friday June 2, the NLC President, Joe Ajaero made the declaration that the government, in particular, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, had until Wednesday June 7, to resume charging the previous price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as gasoline.
According to Channels News, Ajaero continued by saying that if the Federal Government didn’t comply with the deadline, there would be nationwide demonstrations that would last forever.
