The Co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls movement has claimed that Nigerians who refused to support the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, are now organizing a one million man march against fuel scarcity.
Recall that in the buildup to the 2023 presidential election, One million man march was held across the nation to show support for Peter Obi’s presidential ambition.
However, supporters of the ruling party continued to mock those organizing the One million march alleging low turnout of individuals.
In this light Ms Yesufu who rose to fame for the bravery she displayed in the face of police oppression at the October 2020 endsars protest, has mocked those planning to organize a one million march against the removal of fuel subsidy and the continued increase in the pump price of fuel.
“Those who were laughing at those doing one million march for Peter Obi, are now doing their own one million march because of fuel scarcity. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for nothing!” she wrote.
Her comment comes barely a month after the President Bola Tinubu led government removed fuel subsidy and weeks after he unified the country’s forex market.
However since the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the forex market, the pump price of fuel have continued to rise, selling at N617 per litre.
Experts have blamed the continued rise on the poor performance of the naira at the forex market.
