Nigerians kick as Tinubu moves FAAN headquarters to Lagos days after doing same to some departments of CBN 

 

The federal government has authorised the relocation of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) from Abuja to Lagos.

 

The relocation comes days after some departments of the CBN were moved from Abuja to Lagos. 

 

According to a memo signed by the Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, the relocation was authorised by Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development. 

 

The memo reads: “The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development has directed that the Headquarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) should be relocated from Abuja to Lagos.

 

”Consequent upon the above, you are requested to provide the implication of the relocation to the management.”

 

The memo was dated 15th of January, 2024.

 

Netizens have reacted to the relocation of FAAN headquarters from Abuja to Lagos, alleging malice.

Watch what is playing out, these mandate-bandits are moving everything to Lagos.

This is why they rather die than ensure any Port functions in any State apart from the one in Apapa. Nigerians, all we said is happening.”

SarkinMota_AMF said: “The capital of Nigeria was changed from Lagos to Abuja to decongest Lagos, We all know Lagos is overcrowded so I don’t understand the logic of moving key organizations back to Lagos. First CBN now FAAN what is Tinubu cooking?”
