Netizens debate Saraki, Obi’s trending joint ticket poster for 2027 against Tinubu

There has been a significant buzz on social media over a digital campaign poster of former Senate President Bukola Saraki and Labour Party Presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi.

Obi, who commands a huge political following especially among young educated Nigerians, was presented in the poster as the vice presidential running mate to the ex-Senate President Saraki. Obi’s supporters however said the ticket can only fly if Saraki takes the VP slot in the arrangement.

Here are some of the responses from both camps.

@kayodebakre8 said: “Saraki delivers North East, North West and North Central. Obi delivers South South and South East. Tinubu loses by 12 noon. Yes. Let’s do it.”

@Jimmy4god_ said: “Politics not by mouth. Inasmuch Saraki has something upstairs that does not mean you will  belittle the most attractive politician in Nigeria history since after the civil war which happens to be Obi.”

@Borngreat1_ said: “This is what we need 2027 If we really care about Nigeria. Bukola Saraki + Peter Obi.”

@Naija_Breedd said: “These PDP boys know very well that without Obi whoever they field in 2027 wld be disgraced. They need Peter Obi more than he needs them, but somehow they love to disrespect him. Saraki alone can’t garner 500k votes, but you want Obi with 7m votes to be his vice? Must be madness!”

@MentusNnaemeka said: “Bukola Saraki is a very competent and well behaved man. I will support this ticket if it becomes an option in 2027.”

@bummiearo said: “This combination will not see 3m votes.”
