The N2.17 trillion 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill received unanimous approval from both the Senate and the House of Representatives on Thursday, marking the completion of its legislative journey.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, wielding the gavel, officially announced the bill’s passage following a decisive voice vote conducted among the lawmakers.
Prior to the bill’s successful passage, the Senate gave its unanimous endorsement to the consolidated report from the joint sessions of the Senate and the House of Representatives on the 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill.
The report was presented by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, who serves as the Chairman of the Appropriations Committee and represents the APC Ogun West constituency.
