Moghalu urges Nigerian leaders to learn from Rwanda’s zero fleet policy for govt Ministers, other officials
President of the African School of Governance (ASG), Kingsley Moghalu has recommended the Rwanda model for Nigeria and other African countries in cutting cost of governance.
Based in Kigali, Rwanda, the African School of Governance is a pan-African graduate school which focuses on public policy and governance,
In a post on his X handle, Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN), said Rwanda exemplifies the best model for cutting cost of governance.
He said: “In Rwanda , government ministers don’t have official cars, residences, or security guards. You buy your own vehicle and finance it with your transport allowance (zero fleet policy).Rent your own residence with your accommodation allowance. No pomp and pageantry. #CostofGovernance.”
