The Nigerian Senate has revealed the names of the remaining ministerial list to make up the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu.
Recall that the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, presented the names of 19 fresh ministerial nominees before the Senate on Wednesday, August 2.
The lawmakers suspended their proceedings at 3:15 pm to allow Mr Gbajabiamila to present the fresh ministerial nominees’ list before the Senate.
The fresh names were announced on the floor of the Senate by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The new list includes former Zamfara state governor Bello Matawalle, the immediate past governor of Osun state Gboyega Oyetola, former Plateau governor Simon Lalong, and former kebbi governor Atiku bagudu.
Others on the list include Ahmed Tijjani, Bosun Tijani, Maryam Shetti, Ishak Salako, Tunji Alausa, Tanko Sununu, Ibrahim Geidam, Lola Adejo, Shuaibu Abubakar, Tahir Mamman, Aliyu Sabi, Alkali Ahmed, Heineken Lokpobiri, Uba Maigari and Zephaniah Jissalo.
Gbajabiamila had sent the first list of 28 nominees to the Senate last Thursday, giving the impression that there would be additional names sent to the lawmakers for review.
The new list comes just as the Senate is yet to complete the screening of the 28 names earlier sent by the president.
