Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani, has mocked former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El- Rufai over controversies surrounding his ministerial screening.
Mr Sani in a tweet on Tuesday, mocked the former Kaduna governor in a cryptic tweet praying that the former Kaduna governor does not get confirmed as a minister.
“The Unconfirmed Ministerial nominee; The Imp who was intoxicated with power and who arrogantly played God is now at the mercy of those wielding power. A religious extremist with a fanatical political agenda should have no place in the seat of power if that nation desires peace,” tweet by Mr Sani read.
His comment comes as the Nigerian Senate delayed the confirmation of Mr El-Rufai’s ministerial appointment.
Sources say that his confirmation was delayed as a result of ongoing background security checks.
Also missing on the list was the name of Senator Abubakar Danlandi from Taraba State and former Nexim Bank Managing Director, Stella Okotete (Delta State).
The Senate approved and confirmed 45 out of the 48 nominees sent by President Bola Tinubu.
