Addressing the media in Abuja, Buba dismissed suggestions that a lack of inter-service synergy led to the mishap, emphasizing that military operations across the country involve joint efforts from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. He acknowledged the need for improved protocols and processes to minimize future occurrences.
Regarding the casualties, Buba mentioned that records from the community reported 81 deaths, with about 70 individuals receiving treatment at the hospital. He criticized speculations suggesting that the attack targeted a particular religion, labeling such insinuations as faulty, erroneous, and unpatriotic.
Buba urged all Nigerians to support the military by providing useful information for seamless operations during these challenging times.
