Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho secures loan move to Hull City

Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho has finalized a loan move to Hull City, securing a deal that will keep him at the Championship side until the conclusion of the 2023/2024 season. Despite competition from clubs like Southampton, the 21-year-old Portuguese player opted for a stint with Hull City after returning from an unsuccessful loan period at RB Leipzig, where he had limited Bundesliga playing time, making just one start.

Carvalho will join forces with his Liverpool teammate, Tyler Morton, at Hull, seeking more consistent first-team opportunities under the management of Liam Rosenior. The Hull City manager expressed his satisfaction in securing the services of the talented midfielder, acknowledging the efforts of the club’s owners in completing the deal. Having joined Liverpool from Fulham in a £5 million transfer last summer, Carvalho had an impressive campaign in the Championship, scoring 10 goals in Fulham’s promotion-winning season. Despite a promising start at Anfield, he struggled for playing time this season, making only 11 appearances in the English Premier League before December.
