A lawyer has alleged that he was removed from the WhatsApp group of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja branch, for calling Musliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, an executive thug.
Taking to X, the lawyer with the handle, @monsieur_avril, showed a screen grab of a chat he had with another person where he demanded to know the reason he was removed from the group. The person replied with another screen grab of the comment he made accompanying a news story of NURTW factions fighting in Abuja. The comment states: “Executive thug now in Abuja.”
The lawyer said the trend now on the NBA Ikeja branch WhatsApp group is that anyone who speaks against the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) or argues against the emergency patriot of the Judiciary risks being removed.
He wrote: “Ronu Pipo has taken NBA Ikeja WhatsApp platform. If you speak against the PEPT judgement or argue against the emergency patriot of the Judiciary on the group, they tag it as aspersion against the Judiciary, and you risk being removed.”
The alleged action of the NBA Ikeja branch has got netizens talking.

@OluAyoola said: “Do you know that if this was a skit we would be laughing because of the sheer exaggeration we would perceive it to be. Except this is real life. And the piper has come for his payments. Lagos NBA WhatsApp Executives are category two of below.”
@Davydojones said: “I don’t see how people now support lies and choose to suppress the truth, even when they know that these lies will be the end of them. How did they get where they are now?”
@obidient_child said: “It’s really going to be tough in Nigeria this time around. FG must build more prisons for Nigerians because this govt, if allowed, will show Nigerians shege.”
