The President Bola Tinubu-led federal government has revealed that the Lagos Ibadan expressway will be completed by mid-September.
Making this disclosure while visiting the site on Tuesday, Minister of Works, Dave Umahi during a working visit to the site said that the ongoing reconstruction on the expressway will be completed next month to put an end to the constant gridlock being experienced on the road.
PoliticsNow reports that the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari who started the road reconstruction had promised to finish renovations before handing over to his successor.
However, Buhari failed to deliver on his promise with commuters constantly stuck in traffic as a result of the reconstruction.
