The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has announced the deployment of Commissioner of Police (CP) Fayoade Adegoke to assume the role of the new Police Commissioner in Lagos State. This redeployment was communicated through a signal signed by the Force Secretary, AIG Olanrewaju Oladimeji.
Prior to his recent appointment, Adegoke served as the head of Armament at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. During this tenure, he underwent a specialized course at the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru-Jos, Plateau, graduating as part of Executive Course 45 alongside 96 distinguished Nigerians.
Commissioner Fayoade Adegoke is set to succeed Idowu Owohunwa, who has been elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police. Owohunwa will now oversee the Federal Criminal Investigation Department situated in Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
