Lagos Assembly confirms Sanwo-Olu’s new nominees
The Lagos State House of Assembly has granted its approval for a new set of nominees presented by the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu. These nominations encompass positions in the State Executive Council (SEC) as well as several agencies and parastatals.
During the plenary session held on Tuesday, the legislators gave their assent to Kemi Ogunyemi’s appointment as a member of the State Executive Council. Under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, the House also affirmed Peregrine Victoria Mopelola as the Chairperson of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission, while Mrs. Ajenifuja Kafayat Adetokunbo was confirmed as a commission member.
The list of confirmed nominees further includes: Mr. Aigoro, Musiliu Alade – Member, Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Mr. Sosimi Olubowale Oladimeji – Member, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Olanrewaju Mojola – Reappointment as the Director-General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, Mr. Olagunju Cole – General Manager, Lagos State Number Plate Production Authority, Mr. Rasheed Muri-Okunola – General Manager, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency.
The confirmation of these nominees, determined through a voice vote, followed the presentation of a report by the Chief Whip of the House, Hon. Fatai Mojeed, who chaired the ad-hoc committee responsible for screening the nominees.
Honorable Mojeed underscored that the nominees underwent thorough scrutiny and satisfactorily met the criteria required to serve the State.
