Lagos 2027: Youth groups endorse Seyi, say Tinubu’s traits are in him 

 

The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL), the umbrella body of all the youth groups drawn across the six geopolitical zones has endorsed Seyi Tinubu for Governor of Lagos State in 2027.

 

 

In a statement jointly issued in Owerri on Tuesday by the President General of CONYL Comrade Goodluck Ibem, the Secretary Comrade Junard Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Iniobong Sampson and the Publicity Secretary Comrade Adeyemo Adewale, the body said that the resolution came at the enlarged meeting of its leaders held recently.

 

 

 

 

According to the statement, the body took a careful appraisal of the wonderful transformational performance and leadership traits of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he held away as the governor of Lagos State whose dynamic performance made Lagos become the “Center of Excellence” before taking their resolution.

 

 

The group said that Seyi Tinubu, being the son of President Tinubu, will consolidate on his father’s achievements by performing more than his father. They said: “Nigerians youths came to this conclusion because Lagos State has been a home for all Nigerians and who becomes the governor of the state is pivotal given the role the state has played since the inception of the country.”

 

 

CONYL said that Lagos State needs a youth with wonderful ideas and experience to govern as her governor adding that all these qualities are imbedded in Seyi Tinubu who has proved his mettle in any assignment given to him.

 

 

They urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to please consider the yearnings of Nigerian youths to consider one of them the person of “Seyi Tinubu” to be given an opportunity to showcase what Nigerian youths can do when given the opportunity. The statement read, “Seyi Tinubu is gifted, qualified, experienced, well-read and capable to lead Lagos State to the promised land come 2027.”
