Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Governor of Kano State and the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has served notice to President Bola Tinubu that he would lead an alliance against him.
Kwankwaso in a viral video showing him addressing supporters said the Tinubu government is not for poor people. He added that the poor have also ceased supporting them.
The NNPP chieftain who spoke in Hausa during an undisclosed event said he would lead talks with people of Kano, the North and Nigeria to rescue the country from the government.
He said: “They (the government) are not with the poor people, and the poor people are not also with them. By God’s grace, we will cooperate and lead a movement of poor people because that is the only way the poor people will have peace of mind, be able to send their children to school and have things to live well.”
