Kiss and Tell? Last night at BBNaija Pool Party

So yesterday, Thursday, was the Big Brother Naija pool party and as usual, we are always looking forward to it. I mean, parties, loud music, alcohol and uncontrollable dancing? Who wouldn’t watch to grab a popcorn and observe not only the fun of the party and also the drama that unfolds behind it?
In Big Brother Naija parties, be sure to expect anything or at least catch something that interests your eye. I personally anticipate watching the male housemates dance, but I guess last night, it seems like Mercy was the one who caught my attention! During her season, she was known to be the Queen of highlights and it’s clear she is still owning her title and keeping it. Another female housemate whose dance skills kept me glued to my screen was Alex. She is known for her very good dance skills and it being her passion. I’m glad she kept this same energy this season.
Now usually at parties, dancing and drinking aren’t the only activities that take place, and in the case of Cross and Ilebaye, I guess it’s fair to say that the ship has sailed for these two! Both the housemates shared a passionate (or rather hungry, in my opinion) kiss in the pool as the rest of the housemates ogled in shock. Fair enough to say as audiences, we all did. Does this mean a budding relationship between Cross and Ilebaye will soon blossom? Now this is exciting to see!
As the music stops, Big Brother eventually draws the party to a close but this doesn’t stop the drama unfolding. It only continues and does it escalate into something exciting? We’re yet to find out.
It seems as though Cross and Ilebaye weren’t the only ones who sealed it with a kiss last night. After what seems to be a deep, relaxing conversation, Soma and Angel finally locked it with a more passionate kiss and in my opinion, I’m actually happy to see this couple’s ship sail. Isn’t it ironic though? Cross and Ilebaye the “Gen Z baddie” kiss, then Soma and Angel and prior to their previous season, Cross and Angel had a little thing going on with each other before it ended in bitterness and tears in their reunion. Do I call it budding romances or twisting entanglements? In the month of August? Very interesting!
But then again, maybe I am over exaggerating this whole romance thing. During a discussion with Doyin, Ilebaye seemed to be very flustered about the kiss with Cross but pointed out that she will not be messing around in the house and even mentioned her virginity and chastity to prove it. Did I need this information? No! But I’ll take it!
In the midst of the conversation, Doyin asked Ilebaye what she thought Cross and Venita were doing behind the fridge. The “Gen Z baddie” responded that she doesn’t care if Cross is kissing Queen Elizabeth (who has passed away, just pointing that out!), as long as he is available when she needs him. So basically, romance squashed, entanglements begin!
