Legendary Juju musician, King Sunny Ade, has debunked claims of his alleged abduction, following concerns raised by his daughter, Damilola Adeniyi-Adegeye, on social media.
In a video shared by his wife, Mrs. Bose Olubo-Adegeye, the music icon reassured fans that he is safe, healthy, and actively performing. This follows a viral online post where Damilola accused certain individuals of keeping her father isolated from his family.
A senior journalist also echoed the concern in a Facebook post while attempting to locate the veteran singer.
However, in his response, KSA stated clearly: “Nobody kidnapped me. I pray and hope no one ever does. The world loves me, and I’m grateful.” Не added that he had just performed at an event in Lekki and was headed to another show.
Expressing gratitude to fans and his children, he acknowledged that the misunderstanding may have arisen because some of his children hadn’t seen him recently.
“Music is my life and business. I’m still active, still performing. I thank everyone for their love and concern,” he concluded.
