Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Aghamba and his wife have regained freedom after spending one day in the custody of their abductors.
The couple and their aide were attacked on their way to Abuja to attend the wedding reception of the first daughter to Governor Charles Soludo over the weekend.
The Aide was unfortunately killed by the kidnappers on that fateful day while the couple were taken away to an unknown destination.
Confirming this development the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Christian Aburime, noted that no ransom was paid to secure their release.
Aburime also said that the couple were in a good state of health and have rejoined their family.
He dismissed insinuations that the kidnap was politically motivated, insisting that there is no truth in the report.
