Keyamo urges Atiku, Obi to congratulate Tinubu over Supreme Court’s victory
Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo, has called upon the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar to extend their congratulations to President Bola Tinubu in the wake of his victory at the Supreme Court.
In a tweet following the Supreme Court’s decision, Mr. Keyamo emphasized the need to shift the focus towards nation-building, stating, “Now, our primary concern is nation-building. It is time for the other Presidential candidates to reach out to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and offer their congratulations as true patriots. As devoted citizens, we must unite to guide our nation in the right direction. I wish all of us success,” noted Mr. Keyamo.
PoliticsNow had previously reported that the Supreme Court dismissed the appeals filed by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi.
Furthermore, the apex court, in its ruling, rejected Atiku’s request to introduce fresh evidence in the forgery case brought against Tinubu.
The Aviation Minister stressed that the petitions against President Tinubu’s election had been pursued with excessive animosity and hostility by many of those involved.
