Spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has urged Nigerians to endure the pain of steps that President Bola Tinubu is taking to reposition the country.
His appeal comes just as Nigerians continue to suffer the economic impact of president Bola Tinubu’s decision to eliminate subsidy on fuel and education.
Making this call in a tweet on Saturday, Keyamo assured Nigerians that the National Executive Council has recommended pain relievers for implementation.
“If a patient has a malignant tumour, the patient has to endure the pains of surgery or some chemotherapy before the patient can be hale and hearty again. What is required are pain relievers as these treatments are being administered. That is the situation we find ourselves today in Nigeria. We must endure the pains of the steps @officialABAT has taken to reposition our economy to a healthy and vibrant one. The entire world has acknowledged this,” Keyamo said.
“The pain relievers are exactly what the National Economic Council has recommended for implementation,” He added.
Recall that management of University of Lagos increased it’s tuition fee from N20,000 to about N120,000.
In a related development the President Tinubu government increased the school fee of Unity school from N45,000 to N100,000.
This is just as Nigerians are yet to recover from the hard felt impact of the removal of fuel subsidy. Recall that on Monday, the pump price of fuel rose from N560 to N617 per litre with economic experts warning Nigerians to brace up for further increase.
