The hunger protest has turned violent in Kaduna, as protesters in large numbers set ablaze the Headquarters of Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA).
The hitherto peaceful protest, became violent after hundreds of marchers converged on the Ahmadu Bello Way from Kaduna Government House through Sokoto Road.
The property at the KASTLEA headquarters and private residences around the office were looted during the protest.
In Kano, #EndBadGovernance protest also turned violent as the protesters vandalized government properties, including traffic lights.
The gatehouse of the Nigerian Communications Commission in Kano was set ablaze by the angry protesters.
It was gathered that some of the protesters stormed the premises of the Kano State Government House leading to a confrontation with security forces that resulted in the deaths of two protesters.
The special adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Communication and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said via his official X account that the security must step in to halt the violence.
