Juanmi brace inspires Cádiz’s huge upset over struggling Atlético

In a remarkable turn of events, Cádiz stunned Atlético Madrid with a 2-0 victory at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla on Saturday, recording back-to-back home wins against the Madrid giants. The result is a massive boost to Cádiz’s hopes of avoiding relegation from La Liga this season.

The underdogs took the lead in the 24th minute when a beautifully crafted move orchestrated by Robert Navarro culminated in Juanmi heading home from Rubén Sobrino’s cross.
