The Jigawa State Government has initiated the distribution of 38,911 sets of uniforms to female students enrolled in Senior Secondary Schools across the State.
The inauguration of this distribution exercise took place on Monday June 19 in Jahun, which serves as the headquarters of Jahun Local Government Area in Jigawa State. During the event, Alhaji Abba Mustapha, the Permanent Secretary of the Jigawa State Ministry of Education, confirmed the commencement of the uniform distribution. He added that “The gesture is part of the Government’s commitment towards supporting girl-child education in the State and the Country at large”.
By providing uniforms to the female students, the Jigawa State Government is working on supporting their educational endeavours and promoting a conducive learning environment. The initiative aims to benefit students from a total of 296 schools within the state.
