The Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB, has withdrawn the 2023 UTME result of Mmesoma Ejikeme, the student alleged to have falsified her UTME result.
Making the disclosure in a statement, Fabian Benjamin, spokesperson to the examination board disclosed that the body decided to take the disciplinary action in line with established procedures.
“In the meantime, the management of the Board, after considering the weighty infraction committed by Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, and in line with its established procedures, has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and also barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years,” the statement partly read.
In the statement, the examination body insisted that the result sheet paraded by the Anambra student was last used was result format in 2021. The body suggested that only Ms Mmesoma paraded the illegal result, adding that it is not the current format being used by the examination body.
“Similarly, the public is also invited to ponder on the fact that out of all the candidates that sat the 2023 UTME, only Ms. Ejikeme Mmesoma parades the obsolete ‘Notification of Result,” Mr Fabian’s statement added.
The reaction comes a few hours after the embattled student made a viral video where she faulted the actions of the examination body. According to her, the examination body failed to wait for DSS verdict before passing her result as illegal.
