Former minister of education, Oby Ezekwesili, has called for forensic investigation to unearth the controversies surrounding the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results of Mmesoma Ejikeme.
Her comments was in reaction to a viral video where Mmesoma Ejikeme, the student accused to have forged her own JANB result shared her side of the story.
Ms Mmesoma in the viral video insisted that she did not forge her JAMB result, faulting the examination body for not waiting for the DSS to conclude its investigation before alleging that she forged her result.
However reacting to the viral video in a tweet, Ms Ezekwesili called for an independent tech investigation to unearth all facts.
“This saga between Mmesoma Ejikeme and @JAMBHQ requires an Independent Tech investigation to unearth all facts. Listening to her in this video, it is reasonable to request a forensic-investigation to help reveal what really happened. I have reached out to the Registrar of JAMB,” Ms Ezekwesili said.
“An Independent investigation would turn this curious episode into a Learning Opportunity for @JAMBHQ and everyone, especially students,” she added.
PoliticsNow had earlier reported that Innoson group announced that it has commenced investigation into the situation. The group which earlier awarded Ms Mmesoma a N3 million scholarship for her outstanding performance at the recently held UTME examination said it will withdraw the scholarship from the student if its investigations finds her culpable of the crime leveled against her by the examination body.
