Reno Omokri, ex aide to erstwhile president Goodluck Jonathan suggests that the Mmesoma Ejikeme result scandal could have triggered ethnic/ religious violence if the genuine highest scorer was not of the South East decent.
Making this assertion in a Tweet on Wednesday, Mr Omokri faulted prominent Nigerians like Oby Ezekwesili for heating ethnic polity with the issue.
“As small as this JAMB controversy involving 19 year old Mmesoma Ejikeme looks, it could have triggered in Nigeria the type of ethnic and religious violence now raging in France if the genuine highest scorer was not also an Igbo from Anambra,” tweet by Mr Omokri read.
“The way and manner prominent people like Oby Ezekwesili and others made it about ethnicity when it was really about criminality could have set our beloved country on fire,” it added.
Recall that JAMB on Tuesday suspended Ms Ejikeme from taking the UTME exam for three years after allegations that the result being paraded by the student is fake.
