National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Engr. Yabagi Yusuf Sani, has announced the inauguration of ad hoc committees on the Peer Review Mechanism (PRM) for elected leaders.
The Committees will focus on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the President, Governors, and other elected officials to help end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.
Briefing journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Engr. Sani highlighted the importance of the Peer Review Mechanism, stating that it “provides an opportunity for our Governors to learn from each other, share best practices, and identify areas where they need to improve.”
He urged Committee members to take their responsibilities seriously and work diligently to achieve the Party Manifesto and the SDGs through the effective implementation of the Peer Review Mechanism.
According to him, IPAC plans to engage with stakeholders, including Government Agencies, Civil society organisations, private sector entities, and individuals, to involve everyone in the implementation of the Peer Review Mechanism.
Engr. Sani expressed confidence in the mechanism’s potential to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the Party Manifesto and SDGs. Engr. Sani also listed the 47 members of various ad hoc Committees, including the Fund Raising Committee, Steering Committee, Contact and Mobilisation Committee, and Constitution Drafting Committee.
