The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the commencement of final declaration of local government results in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
Although INEC suspended elections in some parts of the state, the final announcement of results in local governments where elections have been concluded will commence Sunday morning.
INEC suspended the Saturday election in Ogori Mangogo over widespread fraud where its officials arrived at most polling units with results already filled before commencement of voting.
INEC also said investigations of four other local governments have commenced with reported cases of pre-filled results. The local governments include; Adavi, Okene, Okehi and Ajaokuta.
