Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has frowned at the recent increase in the tuition fee of Unity School students.
Recall that the President Bola Tinubu led government had announced a whooping 105 per cent increase in the tuition fee of unity school that will see the student paying N100,000 as against the N45,000 which they initially paid as tuition.
Responding to the development in a tweet, the former Kaduna Senator said the latest development was totally unacceptable.
“Increasing tuition fees for Unity Schools is totally unacceptable and a condemnable act. No more no less,” Shehu Sani in a tweet wrote.
The latest increase in the fees of unity schools comes as management of the University of Lagos increased it’s tuition fee from N20,000 to a whooping N120,000.
The latest increments coincides with rumoured plans of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to eliminate subsidy on education.
It also comes at a time when Nigerians are grappling with the hard felt impact of the removal of fuel subsidy.
