Ex-Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, has expressed shock over the death of justice Chima Centus Nweze.
Justice Nweze died on Sunday at the age of 64.
Chidoka, in his tribute, said Justice Chima Centus Nweze was his most respected and cerebral jurist.
“I never met him in person but held him in high esteem. Sadly, many will remember him for the bizarre Sen. Lawan’s judgment. I will remember him for Ihedioha’s judgment and his many cerebral judgments on the bench and his brilliant academic contributions to law.
“His death at this time is quite inauspicious and disturbing. May God forgive his sins and grant him mercy.”
Recall that Justice Nweze was the only Justice of the apex court that gave a dissenting judgment in the case that saw Hope Uzodimma, who finished 4th in the 2019 election, becoming governor of Imo State.
Justice Nweze was however one of the justices that ruled in favour of Ahmad Lawan as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), even when Lawan didn’t take part in the primary election.
