All the 109 senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have donated their December salaries, amounting to N109m to the victims of the ‘accidental’ bombing in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The donation of N109 million as the total salaries of all the 109 senators imply that their monthly take home pay is N1 million.
The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, announced this at the Kaduna Government House when he led a high-power delegation of the Senate members to the state.
The Senators were received by the state governor, Senator Uba Sani.
On 3 December, a drone attack was carried out by the Nigerian Armed Forces on Tudun Biri, Kaduna State, targeting what they thought was a group of bandits, the army mistakenly hit a village, killing at least 100 civilians.
