I never wanted to marry Adekunle Gold – Simi

Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosoko, aka Simi, has said she never intended to marry an artiste.

The 35-year-old songstress disclosed this while speaking about how she met Adekunle Kosoko, aka Adekunle Gold, her husband.

Simi said she initially thought he was just a fan hoping to connect with her on Facebook. She went on to say that she met her husband as a graphics designer and had no idea he was a singer.

“When I first met my husband, I did not know he was singing. Because I already said I cannot marry a singer. He used to do this King of Photoshop. I have never heard him sing up till that time. I think he was even a fan,” she said.

“He had sent me a message on Facebook. I never saw it. I still have not replied. I sensed that it was him that would be good for me.”

Simi got married to Adekunle Gold in 2019.
