A member of the Peter Obi campaign council, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to remarks made by some of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) Justices against the petitioners, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, saying they showed a manifestation of anger.
Some of the PEPC Justices had lampooned the petitioners for failing to prove their case. One of the justices even asked if they expected ‘us to go to the streets and get the evidence for them.’
Aisha Yesufu, who was in the courtroom when the PEPC judgement was delivered yesterday, said the Justices were angry at the petitioners – the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi.
She said: “Justices that were too ashamed to face the camera and give their rulings? They were more like counsels to the respondents. From their words, body language, countenance and intonations you could feel their anger at the petitioners. I couldn’t understand their anger at the petitioners.”
