I came from the bottom, Wizkid recalls bout with poverty

Music sensation Wizkid has shared a different perspective on his life, revealing the experiences that have shaped his way of life.

 

Wizkid reflected on his childhood, growing up in a family of 11 children, including four from his mother.

 

He recalled moments of hardship where he and his siblings often went without meals.

 

“I came from the bottom, I know what it feels like not to have anything. There was a time in my life when I had never even had breakfast, it was just lunch or maybe dinner,” he shared.

 

Despite his immense fame, Wizkid emphasised that his humble beginnings have instilled in him a sense of gratitude and composure, which no level of success can compromise.

 

The “Made in Lagos” artist expressed heartfelt appreciation for his parents, particularly his late mother, for their invaluable guidance and support.
