Dr Oluyinka Olumide, the commissioner for physical planning and urban development, has said that his watchwords will be openness in the built sector and a zero-tolerance policy towards building collapse.
In a statement he gave upon taking office as the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Olumide, one of the just sworn in Commissioners in the cabinet of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, gave the clue.
He arrived at the Ministry alongside Dr. Olajide Babatunde, Special Adviser for e-GIS and Urban Planning, following the swearing-in ceremony presided over by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa, Ikeja.
The Commissioner pledged to expand on achievements and implement progressive ideas to further transform the industry while successfully collaborating with all stakeholders.
Dr. Olajide Babatunde, the newly rehired Special Adviser for e-GIS and Urban Planning, urged ongoing collaboration and teamwork.
The two were welcomed by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development’s Permanent Secretary, Engineer Oluwole Sotire, Surveyor-General of Lagos State, Surv. Ayokunu Adeshina, General Managers of the ministry’s Agencies, and top management personnel.
