Governorship Election: Oro must not stop voters – Sanwo-Olu
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured Lagosians of peaceful elections on Saturday.
This follows announcement of some customary rites by some traditional rulers in the state.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, the Governor assured all residents of the security of lives and property in the State.
The State Government who reiterated that every residents has the Freedom of religion, also cautioned Traditional Institutions holding the customary rites to ensure the activities do not infringe on the fundamental rights of citizens especially during the elections.
The Governor advised residents to go about their civic duties without fear, noting that security personnel have been mobilised to guarantee the peace and safety of lives and property before, during and after elections.
The statement warns that anybody planning to foment trouble will have the law to contend with.
