Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has expressed shock over the death of Nollywood actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu.
The governor in a post on his official X account, said he is deeply saddened by the death of Mr Ibu.
He said: “I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our own John Okafor (aka Mr. Ibu).
“He was a veteran actor and celebrated entertainer who brought joy and smiles to our homes. A truly illustrious son of Enugu State.
“He played his part in our quest to build a new Enugu State and Nigeria at large, inspiring and mentoring generations of young creatives to believe in themselves, hone their talents and excel.
“We shall sorely miss him. May the Almighty God grant his soul eternal repose and to his family, fans, and loved ones the strength to endure the irreparable loss.”
