Nigerian actor and singer, Gabriel Oloasubomi Afolayan, also known by his musical stage name, G-Fresh, has received a honorary doctorate degree from Estam University in the Republic of Benin.
In an Instagram post, the actor proudly showcased a video of himself in full graduation regalia. In the accompanying caption, he joyfully shared the news of being conferred with a honorary Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in arts and culture, expressing deep gratitude to the university for the esteemed honor.
“Dr Gabriel Olasubomi Afolayan (PhD honoris causa of Philosophy in Arts & Culture) thank you @university_estam,” he wrote.
“We will keep shaping the world positively with our Art. Banner up everywhere we go. Great time with the great people of @university_estam.”
With a career spanning over a decade, Gabriel has firmly established himself as a powerhouse in Nollywood. His acting journey began in 2012 with the film ‘Hoodrush’, and since then, he has graced the screen in notable films like ‘Coming from Insanity’, ‘U-Turn’, and ‘Blood Sisters’.
