Celebrity chef Hilda Baci, whose true name is Hilda Effiong Bassey, has spoken out about her repeated attempts to get into the reality TV program Big Brother Naija.
She disclosed that despite putting in five auditions for the show, she was not chosen to be a housemate.
Hilda Baci discussed her journey and goals in an interview that she gave for the “The Big Friday Show” segment of Cool FM Nigeria, which was presented by reality TV personality Tacha.
Prior to starting her record-breaking cooking challenge, she had intended to compete in Big Brother Naija in order to become famous.
“I actually tried to get on Big Brother Naija for a while,” she said.
She disclosed that she auditioned about four or five times.
“The plan for the cook-a-thon was still in the pipeline, so my goal was to go to Big Brother and then come out and do the cook-a-thon.”
Hilda Baci later went on to accomplish the noteworthy achievement after failing to make BBNaija.
She demonstrated her love and commitment to the culinary arts by setting a Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
