The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has announced Julius Malema, the President of Economic Freedom Fighters in South Africa as keynote speaker for the Annual General Conference of the lawyers’ meeting.
According to a post on X by the NBA President, Afam Osigwe, urges lawyers to register before the closing date of March 31st, 2025 for the conference scheduled in August.
He said: “Dear colleagues, Meet our keynote speaker for the 2025 NBA AGC: Julius Malema @Julius_S_Malema, the President, Economic Freedom Fighters, South Africa. Early bird registration closes March 31st, 2025!”
The 44-year-old Malema is a South African politician, founder and leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), a political party with socialist leaning whose members are known with their red berets and military-style outfits.
Before he founded EFF, he served as president of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) from 2008 until his expulsion from the party in 2012.The following year, he founded the EFF, and was elected to the National Assembly in 2014, winning 25 seats in the assembly.
