Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has said that the recognition of his efforts in the state by New Telegraph Newspapers will inspire him to work harder for the good people of the state.
Mbah in a post on his official X account said he is proud that the modest effort of his administration is being noticed by critical observers.
He said: “Yesterday (February 2) in Lagos, I received the New Telegraph Governor of the Year 2023 award in recognition of my “Courage in Leadership” in addressing insecurity and putting to an end the unlawful sit-at-home order in our beloved Enugu State.
“I am particularly humbled that the modest effort of my administration, in a very short time of our journey towards Enugu’s greatness, is being noticed by critical observers.
“I take this honour as an inspiration to work harder for Enugu State and make my people happy and proud.
“I dedicate this award to members of my team and all the security agencies in Enugu State, who, through their efforts, have been able to ensure that Enugu State is peaceful, safe, and secure.
“I cannot forget to thank the Editorial Board of Daily Telegraph Publishing Company Limited, publishers of New Telegraph, for finding me worthy of this honour.”
