Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has asked the European Union and it’s member state to tender an unreserved apology to the people of Africa for the atrocities they committed in the continent.
Making this call in reaction to the EU election report that faulted the conduct of the 2023 general election, Fani-Kayode said the election report was self serving snd hypocritical.
“Before they assail and afflict us with their self-serving, self-seeking, hypocritical, nauseating, infantile, irritating and inconsequential “election monitors report”, the EU and its member states should tender an unreserved apology for the unspeakable atrocities that they committed against the people of Africa over the last 200 years,” Fani-Kayode wrote.
Fani- Kayode who decamped from the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress in the buildup to the 2023 general election said the EU report “deserves to be in one place and one place alone: the bottom of a dustbin!”
Different sections of the EU”s report had listed the various flaws of the election umpire INEC and the irresponsible conduct of the ruling party and Nigerian politicians in totality.
